Ciao! My name is Vittoria, and I'm the director of Culturforum, but also a teacher, travel guide, and much more. This fascinating adventure began in 2000, after years of teaching Italian as a foreign language. Though I graduated in Foreign Languages quite some time ago, instead of German or English, I ended up teaching my own language, Italian. I call this the paradox of my life.
I love being a teacher, perhaps even more than being the director of a school. I enjoy interacting with students. Teaching and being in a classroom never cease to amaze me. That's why, despite my numerous work commitments, I continue to teach. I am passionate about history, especially ancient history. This passion fuels my other activity: guiding students on excursions and tours to explore our island, rich in extraordinary history. I love sharing stories about my multifaceted homeland, which I love to call the “island of contrasts.” Because, believe me, the contrasts are abundant and not just in Sicily, but throughout all of Italy.
The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche wrote: "One must still have chaos in oneself to give birth to a dancing star ". This perfectly describes Italy - a land of beautiful chaos that never ceases to amaze and fascinate.
All the best on your adventure with the Italian language and Italy!
